NEW YORK CITY-- Thousands of wishes are piling up in Times Square this week, ahead of New Year's Eve.
All of the wishes, written in person and posted online, will be showered on the revelers as confetti at midnight on Thursday.

The Times Square Alliance's Wishing Wall has appeared every December for the last eight years. Last year 20,000 submissions were collected online and at a downtown kiosk.
