DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - The Danville Sheriff's Office announced overnight the passing of one of their own.
Deputy Charmine Dickerson, a five year veteran with the sheriff's office, passed away at MCV Hospital Wednesday morning.

They said Deputy Dickerson had recently given birth to a healthy baby girl, but eventually died from complications.
The Danville Sheriff's Office posted this to their Facebook page overnight:
