Round Town: Christmas fun

(WSLS 10) - Head to downtown Roanoke Friday night for the last night of Dickens of a Christmas. THE SPCA brings back its Pet Costume Contest again this year. Be there by 5:30 to register with the contest beginning at 6:30. There will also be a snow zone where kids of all ages can have fun.

Danville's Ballou Park remains lit up this weekend. You can drive through and see thousands of lights at the second annual Community Holiday Light Show. The lights are on Friday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will cost you $7 per car.

The Roanoke Ballet Theater presents the Nutcracker. The performance is Saturday night at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $22.

Football returns to Salem Stadium Friday night. The NCAA Division III Stagg Bowl is Friday night. Saint Thomas will take on Mount Union. Kick off is at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $15.

The Rockbridge Ballet presents Romeo and Juliet. On Saturday there's a show at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. On Sunday there's a show at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.

The History Museum of Western Virginia hosts a yuletide party for Santa before the heads back to the North Pole. It includes a concert with Santa's Musical group, the Figgy Pudding Band. It's 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are available at the Center in the Square Box office.
