Home for the Holidays final test

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Friday, December 17 is the big day we hand over the keys to the WSLS 10 - Habitat for Humanity Home for the Holidays.

Before we could do that, the house underwent one final test Thursday morning.

Workers put the heating and air conditioning system through its paces, as part of the "Earthcraft and Energy Star" certification.

The house passed with flying colors.

"Today's test went very well," said Brian Clark with Habitat for Humanity. "In spite of putting this house up in two to two-and-a-half weeks, we were able to focus on everything we need to and it's actually testing out as one of our best houses for air leakage. It's very minimal."

WSLS 10 invites you to watch the dedication live Friday on WSLS 10 at noon as we deliver the keys to the Chhetri family.
