BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Virginia Tech is warning students to lock their doors after a student found a man hiding under her bed.
The attempted break-in happened December 1st at Cochrane Hall.

The student told Virginia Tech police she woke up to find an unknown man in her room going through her things.
Officers say she then yelled at the man who ran away.
Virginia tech says this is not the first time this has happened.
There have been several other similar events reported in both Cochrane and Thomas halls.
Officers are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest. Police also ask if anyone sees any kind of suspicious activity to contact police.
