SALEM (WSLS 10 ) - Three dogs have been saved after a house fire in Salem started on Sunday night when no one was home.
The fire department was called to the 1700 block of Victoria Street at 9:39 p.m.

The homeowners were not home at the the time of the fire. Three dogs that were inside of the house were rescued by firefighters.
The first crews arrived within five minutes of receiving the call and found heavy smoke coming from the building.
The fire was under control within 20 minutes.
The building did sustain fire and smoke damage, but the fire was contained to one room.
The fire is still under investigation. There is no damage estimate at this point.
