(WSLS 10) - The Salem Civic Center hosts the Roanoke Valley Mineral and Gem Society Annual Show. You'll be able to shop for unique gift ideas. Admission is $4. It's Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Head to the Berglund Center this weekend for public skating. There is a School's Out Session on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can also slide across the ice on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and skate rental costs $8.

Chateau Morrisette flips the switch lighting its Christmas tree. Events leading up to the lighting include bells in the winery balcony, a performance of the Nutcracker Suite and carols as well as hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. Events start at 3:30 with the lights shining starting at 5:30.
