FedEx driver dies in rollover accident in Floyd County

FLOYD COUNTY (WSLS 10) – Virginia State Police are investigating a rollover accident that killed a FedEx driver.

The single-vehicle crash happened at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 on Route 661 two miles east of Route 640 in Floyd County.

State police say a FedEx delivery van was traveling east on Route 661 when it ran off the roadway on the right side, overturned and rolled down an embankment.

The FedEx van was driven by Erin M. Osborne, 39, of Bluefield, West Virginia.

Troopers say Osborne was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. Virginia State Police reconstruction was called to assist at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
