Sinkhole temporarily closes part of I-81N in Rockbridge County

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Drivers experienced delays along Interstate-81 Thursday morning due to a sinkhole.

According to VDOT, the sinkhole was located at mile marker 196.1 on I-81 northbound.

The north left lane was closed.

There is also an accident in the area at mile marker 183 on I-81 south in Rockbridge County.

The south left shoulder and left lane were temporarily closed.
