MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Amanda Taylor was found guilty Thursday of killing her father-in-law in Montgomery County Court. Later the same evening, she was sentenced to spend life in prison.
Taylor is charged in the April 2015 death of her father-in-law Charles Taylor.
During testimony Thursday, it was revealed Amanda Taylor stabbed her father-in-law, Charles Taylor, 31 times. The medical examiner said 11 of those stab wounds had the potential to be lethal on their own.
The knife she used was described as a bayonet, purchased from a military store. In interviews with police, she said that she chose to use a knife because she wanted Charles to know it was her killing him.

Taylor described the murder to investigators as having felt like her first roller coaster ride at Carowinds.
After the murder, Taylor posed for a picture in front of Charles' body, holding a bloody knife and smirking. She then sent that picture to a friend, who posted it on what was described as a serial killer website.
Taylor said she blamed Charles for the drug addiction and subsequent suicide of her husband Rex.
The jury was out for less than 25 minutes. They were tasked with deciding whether Amanda Taylor will spend the rest of her life in prison. The decision was expected before 6 p.m.
