Presidential candidate Ben Carson will be speaking at Liberty University at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 11. He's the third candidate to speak on campus this fall - and Jeb Bush spoke at graduation in May.

A lot of students on Liberty's campus have been following the race closely.

The student government have been regularly hosting debate-watching parties. So it's sure to be a packed house in the Vine Center Wednesday.

In September, Liberty hosted Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. Student Government President Quincy Thompson says he's excited his class will have the opportunity to hear from multiple candidates because for many of them it will be their first time casting a ballot. And he says with Carson, students at Liberty are sure to find even more of a connection.

"I think the hype that he is a front-runner for the GOP is a big deal, and then also he's a pretty strong-standing Christian, he professes to be a Christian, and I think students, this being an Evangelical Christian University, students are looking forward to that." explained Thompson.

Carson's speech is expected to draw a crowd of around 12,000 people.
