(WSLS 10) - The design of this year's holiday cups at Starbucks are stirring up controversy.

The cups are plain red, without the Christmas symbols the coffee chain used in the past.

Some Christians are accusing the coffee giant of waging a war on the holiday.

The movement went viral with the hashtag #MerryChristmasStarbucks after a former pastor posted a video saying that 'Starbucks Hates Jesus".
