The therapeutic horseback riding non-profit nearly doubled its space allowing year-round therapy for more critical riders.

In fact, this is the first year routine lessons will be given past Thanksgiving.

Non-profit leaders say this will allow the riders to continue growing.

"We have had parents tell us when they miss their week of riding they're totally out of sorts. We have a grown man, he is like a child, and his caretakers say if he misses two weeks down here he has an anger outburst at his facility," explained Carol Wood Young, Healing Strides Executive Director.

Construction is expected to be finished by December.

After construction is complete Healing Strides will look for donations for carpet, table and chairs to add to the new space.
