CAMPBELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A small plane made an emergency landing when it ran out of fuel Friday afternoon.
Virginia State Police said the plane landed safely in a field on Cabinfield Road in Campbell County around 3:30 p.m. The pilot was the only person in the plane.The pilot was not injured.

The plane stayed in the field into the evening and was able to be flown out to its destination, the Lynchburg Regional Airport, around 6 p.m.
