CARROLL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Drivers heading down Interstate-77 in Carroll County can expect to see more state troopers on the highway this week.
It's part of a traffic enforcement crackdown in our area.

According to the DMV, 589 people have died on Virginia's highways so far this year. This is up from 574 this same time last year.
Here in Southwest Virginia the number of fatal crashes in Wythe County has more than tripled. And in Smyth County the number of fatalities already equals the total number last year.
