Seahawks players visit Roanoke family in Seattle hospital

SEATTLE, Wash. (WSLS 10) - A Roanoke family got quite the surprise as their son recovers from a bone marrow transplant at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and linebacker Bobby Wagner stopped by little Robbie Overstreet's room Tuesday.

His mom Elizabeth says, the Virginia native and Super Bowl winning quarterback really made a difference after months in the hospital.

"It was kind of like one of those surreal moments that you don't really know was coming, so he came in and we were playing on the floor and he is the sweetest, most gracious, nicest man ever. He got on the floor with us. He was talking to the baby. It was the sweetest thing ever," Elizabeth said.

Robbie has a long road to recovery and won't be able to come home to Roanoke until January.
