RADFORD (WSLS 10) - The Radford Animal Shelter gets a special visit from volunteers who want to make the pet's lives better.
Shentel sent eight workers to the shelter Friday, October 23 to build a fenced in dog play area, clean and paint the cat room, and help exercise the animals.

The company invested $13,500 in this project.
"We feel that it's our obligation as the cable company in these towns to provide support to the communities as part of our private-public partnership to provide cable to the communities we serve," said Tom Whitaker.
This is all part of a larger community service effort across the cable company's service area of Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia.
