NBC News – (NTV) - Early risers in central Japanese town of Ono were treated to spectacular scenery Sunday when a historic mountaintop castle appeared to be floating on a sea of clouds.
The castle is more than 800 feet above sea level, but when the weather conditions are just right, the mountaintop fortress appears to tower above Ono.

Locals call the phenomenon the "castle in the sky."
The scene only appears around ten days a year.
