USNS Big Horn returning to Virginia after 4-month deployment

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - A Navy supply ship that has spent four months refueling U.S. and NATO ships is returning to Virginia.

The USNS Big Horn is scheduled to arrive at Craney Island on Saturday.

The Big Horn has been serving as Military Sealift Command's primary duty oiler in the Navy's Sixth Fleet, which includes waters around Europe and part of Africa.

The Big Horn provided fuel, cargo and other supplies to 19 U.S. Navy ships and six NATO ships from France, Germany, Turkey and Italy.
