Police say Greenbrier woman fatally shot, stepfather wounded

NEOLA, W.Va. (AP) - Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Greenbrier County woman and the wounding of her stepfather.

The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office says a preliminary investigation indicates there was an exchange of gunfire at 41-year-old Glenda Hull's residence.

Hull was found in her residence near Neola on Wednesday by deputies and state police troopers who were responding to a report of a shooting. The sheriff's office says in a news release that Hull died from an apparent gunshot wound.

The officers went to the nearby residence of Hull's stepfather, 67-year-old Larry Hoke, and found him suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. His condition wasn't known.
