Second person arrested in Radford armed robbery; police search for third suspect

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - The Radford City Police Department arrested a second person in connection to an armed robbery that happened in September.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. Sept. 24th along the 600 block of Davis Street in Radford.

Witnesses told police the three men arrived in a 2015 Toyota four-door. During the course of the investigation it was discovered a second robbery had taken place in the 1100 block of East Main Street. The victims were robbed of cash, electronics, and clothing.

On Monday, Oct. 5, police announced they identified the other two suspects as Jeremy Michael Hill of Halifax, Va., and Tavaras Aquil Hamlett, of South Boston.

Hamlett is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail, awaiting transport to New River Valley Regional Jail, on the following charges: Robbery x3, Abduction x3, Use of a firearm in commission of a Felony, Grand Larceny, Entering a dwelling to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, Conspire to commit/enter dwelling to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, Conspire to commit (Robbery x3, Abduction x3, Grand Larceny). 

Hill is currently wanted and is believed to be in the Halifax/South Boston area. Hill is wanted for the following charges:Robbery x3, Abduction x3, Use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Grand Larceny, Entering a dwelling to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, Conspire to commit/enter dwelling to commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon, Conspire to commit (Robbery x3, Abduction x3, Grand Larceny)

The third suspect, Malik Jamal Williams, of South Boston, Va., was taken into custody in September. Williams is charged with Robbery x2, Use of a firearm in commission of a felony, Abduction x2, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Grand Larceny, Conspire x5 (Robbery, Abduction, Grand Larceny). Williams is currently being held without bond.
