Couple arrested after distributing heroin, Molly with 6-year-old inside home

Bedford County drug interdiction unit arrests major dealer

BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Bedford County couple is being held without bond after investigators say they found numerous illegal drugs in their possession.

On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Bedford Co. Sheriff's Office Vice/Narcotics Interdiction Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence on Miller Hollow Road in Goodview based on information that the occupants were in possession of heroin and distributing it from their home.

Upon execution of the warrant, Piotr (Peter) Pawel Korczynski, 35, and his wife, Jessica Korczynski, 32,  and a 6-year-old child, were found inside the home.

While searching the house, investigators found approximately 1oz Heroin, with a street value $13,000, 15 capsules containing the Rape Date Drug (MDMA), as well as $1,010 in cash.

Other items recovered were; user kits containing needles, spoons and smoking devices commonly associated with the use of methamphetamine, also packaging material and scales were located. Investigators also seized 2 firearms from the residence; a Glock 42 .380 caliber handgun and a Winchester 12 gauge pump action pistol grip shotgun. Both firearms were loaded.

Korczynski was charged with Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I Controlled substance (heroin), Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I Controlled Substance (Molly/MDMA), Possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance and Felony Child Endangerment.

Jessica, his wife, was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule I Bedford Co. drug interdiction unit arrests major dealerr II Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a schedule I or II Controlled Substance and Felony Child Endangerment. 

Both were transported to the Bedford Adult Detention Center where they were held without bond until their advisement. Bedford Co. Dept. of Social Services responded and placed the child with family members pending their investigation.

Further more, Korczynski was arrested by U.S. Park Rangers days before the arrest in Bedford County. In that case he was charged with Operate a motor vehicle in without a safety belt, Operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, and Possession of a controlled substance. He posted bond in this case before being arrested again just three days later.

Police say this investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected here and out of state.
