BOTETOURT COUNTY (WSLS 10) -Â As part of the continued work at the Exit 150 Improvement Project off I-81, excavation operations at a box culvert will take place Tuesday, October 6, at 12 p.m. (noon) that will involve blasting.
The box culvert where the blasting will occur is located across Route 11 (Lee Highway) at the bottom of the exit 150 B off-ramp from I-81 north.

Blasting will start next Tuesday, and occur each day through Friday, October 9, at 12 p.m. (noon). Flaggers will be in place on Route 11 (Lee Highway) and State Police will perform a slow roll on the exit ramp that will stop traffic for approximately five to ten minutes.
This blast was originally scheduled for Friday, October 2, but was canceled due to rain.
Area residents and businesses and those in the surrounding areas, may feel vibrations or loud noise from blasts occurring on the project as the blasting takes place.
Drivers approaching the area are encouraged to slow down and use caution in the work zone.
