The Amherst County Sheriff's Office says Sarah Bethany Altizer, 25, of Baboursville, W.Va., entered the store prior to deputies arriving and approached the attendant at the pharmacy counter. Altizer produced a note stating that she had a gun and demanded cash from the register in addition to pharmaceutical drugs.

Deputies say attendant was not able to access the items, and Altizer fled on foot.

Thanks to the help of vigilant citizens, deputies say they were able to locate Altizer at a residence in Madison Heights.

She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Amherst County Adult Detention Center. Altizer is charged with robbery, and is being held without bond.

The Sheriff's Office would like to especially thank the citizens who came forward with information that led to Altizer's arrest.
