Friday night, Alleghany High School crowned Chris Hamilton king. He says he's grateful to the students for voting him.

"I love all my friends at Alleghany. I appreciate them for voting for me and I just love them, they're great you know," explained Chris.

"I am so thrilled, because he is like the king in everyone's book in this school. There are really probably a handful of students that don't know who he is. He's the man as everyone calls him," said Lindsay Westervelt, Chris' teacher.

Chris will get to come back to 2016 homecoming game and hand over his crown to next year's king.
