Reports: Gov. Scott Walker to Drop Out of Race for President

(WBAY) - Gov. Scott Walker will hold a news conference at 5 p.m. in Madison, according to a campaign advisory sent to media outlets.

The New York Times is reporting that Gov. Walker is ending his run for the White House in 2016. After a strong start to his campaign, the governor has fallen in recent Republican polls.

The latest CNN/ORC poll showed Walker had support of less than 1 half a percentage point.

The Times quotes three Republicans familiar with the governor, speaking on condition of anonymity.

One source said the governor's decision is based on money.

The news conference will be held at the Edgewater hotel at 5 p.m.
