SALEM (WSLS 10) - Have you always wanted to see  Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. but haven't been able to make the trip?
No worries, a replica of the wall is coming to you.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, a smaller-scale replica of the original, will be at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center next week from 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16 through 6 p.m. Sept. 20.
It will provide the opportunity for the community to honor veterans who have given the ultimate sacrifice and a way to provide comfort to families.
The wall will be open for 24 hours during that time.
The replica is 300 feet long and will have about 100 names from the Roanoke and New River Valley.
Visitors to the wall are encouraged to bring photos of those who are memorialized on the wall so they can become part of the collection at the National Vietnam Education Center in Washington.
The wall will arrive with an escort from the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club, according to a news release from the sponsoring partners.
Opening ceremonies for the installation will include the Roanoke Valley Community Band, a joint municipal color guard, and remarks from Adrian Cronauer of Botetourt County.
Dr. John Rose from the office of the secretary of defense will be the guest speaker.
