PULASKI (WSLS 10) - The Pulaski Yankees are in the playoffs and went head to head against the Princeton Rays.

While Princeton won Friday night, it's still an exciting time in Pulaski - with the stadium seeing record number of attendance. More than 57,000 people came to watch them play this year.

"Having the Yankees as part of Calfee Park has been wonderful, because it puts a whole new aspect for marketing for our baseball team," says Blair Hoke, Co-General Manager of the Pulaski Yankees.

People we spoke to said the reason they came out is to check out the new facility.

Millions of dollars were spent on the stadium, Jumbotron, and concession stand.

"They're investing a lot of money in our town and we appreciate that so much," says Meredith Mcgrady, Pulaski Yankees fan. "Pulaski has got its problems, and it's nice to see an influx of money coming in."

The record number of attendance is also being felt at local businesses like Tom's Drive In.

"We've had an increase in business," says Angie Chrisley, Tom's Drive In. "We have people get hotdogs and burgers on the way to the game, and they come to get ice cream afterwards."
