Round Town: Labor Day weekend

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - If you're looking to get a jump on Christmas shopping, head to Hillsville this weekend for the annual Labor Day Flea Market. Hundreds of thousands of people will travel to the small town for the event. It's Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. Parking is available at several places in town and will cost you about $5.

You can enjoy a movie this weekend as the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and Roanoke Appalachian Trail Club host a screening of the new Robert Redford Movie "A Walk in the Woods." There will be a reception at the Grandin CoLab starting a 6 p.m. Friday talking about the groups role in the film with a showing of the film at the Grandin Theatre at 7:15. The reception is $20 with theatre admission costing $9.75.

The Sedalia Center in Bedford County holds its Country Fair and Gathering. There will be Amazing Grace, the trick mule performing two shows as well as other animals, games and food. It's Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 with kids 12 and under getting in free.

Head to the Harvester Center in Rocky Mount as country music artist and Lynchburg native Phil Vassar takes the stage. The show is Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $32.

Brad Paisley takes to the stage on Sunday in Blacksburg ahead of Monday's big football game against Ohio State. There will be food trucks and other concession available. It's in the Cassell Lot with the opening act starting at 8 p.m. Brad Paisley takes to the stage at 9 p.m.
