Concerned parents told WSLS 10 there were reports of the student threatening to bring a gun to school. The incident is now under investigation by the Craig County Sheriff's Office.

Wilmore stressed the incident was minor in nature and the student was suspended as policy. There is currently no threat to any of the students.

Deputies were at each of the three schools; McCleary Elementary, Craig County Middle School and Craig County High School, as a precaution Friday.
