Governor McAuliffe: SML shooting suspect may be former WDBJ7 employee

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - During an interview on radio station WTOP, Governor Terry McAuliffe said the suspect in the killing of two WDBJ7 employees may have been a former employee of the TV station.

The identity of the suspect had not been officially released by local law enforcement. The suspect had not been apprehended at the time of the interview.
Still images of the alleged shooter were captured by photojournalist Adam Ward's camera. The shooting happened during a live interview with Smith Mountain Lake Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce's Vicki Gardner.
