Botetourt County (WSLS) - Botetourt County leaders are planning to create a Greenway.
It will stretch from the Greenfield Recreation Park to the Daleville Towncenter. The path will be approximately three miles in length.

Leaders are hopeful the greenway will be used by walkers, joggers, and bicyclists. It could also lead to economic investment in the county.
Construction is expected to begin in Summer of 2016, with a planned opening in Spring of 2017. A $476,000 grant from VDOT will pay for the project.
County leaders are hopeful the Greenway will eventually be extended to the Tinker Creek Greenway, linking Botetourt to Roanoke.
