BOTETOURT COUNTY (WSLS 10) - All northbound lanes of Interstate 81 closed for a tractor trailer accident Thursday evening.
State police said a tractor trailer carrying paper and an SUV were involved in an accident. Both lanes of I-81 north were blocked as a result.

Wreckers had been called as of 4 p.m. and the left lane was reopening. Traffic backups at that time were around 6 miles.

On I-81 at mile marker 160.9 in the County of Botetourt, motorists can expect major delays due to a tractor trailer accident. The north right lane and right shoulder are closed. Traffic backups are approximately 6.0 miles.
