CARROLL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Next Monday, on August 24, Route 693 (Sylvatus Smith Road) will be closed to traffic for 30 days for a bridge replacement over Big Reed Island Creek.
VDOT says the road will be closed between Route 100 (Sylvatus Smith Highway) and Route 751.

Signs will direct traffic and drivers will need to seek alternate routes.
The road is expected to reopen on Thursday, September 24, weather permitting.
