ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Roanoke County parents will get letters in the mail soon. The district has a new program this year to make sure they have the most updated information from parents.
Parents will get "snapcodes" so you can update info online for the upcoming year. This will enable parents to change things like emergency contact info online. Letters will go out Friday so parents should receive the codes by next week.

It is through "InfoSnap". This is a transition year so you will still have the option to fill out hard copies this year but starting next year all parents will be asked to go online to fill out the information.
The Roanoke County School Board will get a presentation at it's meeting Wednesday night.
Roanoke County is also expected to discuss partnering with Salem schools for the English Language Learners (ELL) program. Salem has a small number of ELL students on level one. Roanoke County has been recognized in Virginia as a top performing program with room for 16 more students. Salem would still be held accountable for student attendance and transportation. Salem would pay $2,100 per student to the county.
