ROANOKE (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Hidden Valley has reeled off four consecutive playoff appearances. Coach Scott Weaver's Titans made a run to the state quarterfinals two seasons ago, and they are coming off an 8-3 season in 2014.

Hidden Valley's developed a 'run the football' and 'play great defense' approach which has served them well.  But with the return of senior signal caller Jake Smiley and some serious speed on the outside, the Titans may be going up top more often in 2015.

"Offensively we're going to look different then we have in the past. we're no longer going to be a pro-style I-formation team. It's just based on personnel, and honestly we want to score some more points. But the staple you're always gonna get here with Hidden Valley is going to be defense and running the ball, and we hope to continue that as we move on," explains Hidden Valley Head Coach Scott Weaver.

"We still plan to run the ball a lot, we plan to play Titan football. We have some great receivers and Jake Smiley returning at quarterback--that will help us a lot, so we have experience and we plan on capitalizing on that," explains running back and safety Logan Brand.

The Titans were the top 3A West seed a year ago before injuries decimated the team.   They suffered a first round loss to Waynesboro in the playoffs. Hidden Valley opens by hosting cross-town rival Patrick Henry at Dwight Bogle stadium on August 28th.
