MONROE (WSLS 10) - A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his female neighbor on Pera Road around 1 a.m. Saturday, August 1.
The Amherst County Sheriff's Office said deputies investigated the assault, where they say Milton Ray "Scooter" Branham, 31, was involved in an altercation with a female neighbor.

She was transported to the Emergency Department at Lynchburg General Hospital and treated for injuries.
During the assault, deputies said Branham also detained the victim for a short period of time and was reported to have broken the windshield of her vehicle.
Branham is charged with felonious assault, throwing a missile at an occupied vehicle, sexual battery, abduction and property damage. He was held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail pending a preliminary hearing in Amherst General District Court.
