DUI related crash sends two to the hospital in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG (WSLS10) -An overnight car crash sent two people to the hospital.  Police say alcohol and high speeds are to blame.

Police say it happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning  at the Grace Street exit of route 29 in Lynchburg.

According to Lynchburg police a 2005 Nissan maxima flipped after hitting a light pole, ejecting the driver 33-year-old Quincy Jamar slash. Both he and a passenger 34-year-old Nicole Lacy Lumsden were taken to Lynchburg General.

Slash has been charged with reckless driving and a DUI.
