Deputies investigate meat theft from Amherst County Walmart

AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Amherst County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men who they say stole meat from a local Walmart.

The theft happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. Friday, July 24 at the Walmart Madison Heights.

Deputies say two white males entered the store and picked up a number of items, including meat products and then left the store without paying.

The men were in their 20s to 30s. One was tall and heavy set and one of medium height and medium build, police say. Both have short brown hair.

The men were observed leaving in a gray vehicle.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information regarding this crime. All information is confidential.
