Round Town: Wine, theater, bacon and beach music

(WSLS 10) - If you're looking for the best wine to go with your dinner tonight, head to Pairapalooza.  Vendors will be there with food and a wine that pairs with that entrée.  Tickets for the event start at $10.  The event starts at 7 p.m. on the rooftop of Center in the Square.

Head to Rural Retreat for the First Ever Beachfest Music Festival.  Several beach music bands including Jim Quick and Coastline, the Band of Oz, Fantastic Shakers and the Atlantic Groove Band will perform.  Gates open at 11 a.m. with the music starting at 1 p.m.  It takes place Saturday at the Rural Retreat Fairgrounds.

Friday is opening night for Mill Mountain Theatre's production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr.  The play features area youth in cameo roles.  The show runs through August 9th on the Trinkle Main Stage at Center in the Square.  Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and on weekends there will be a 2 p.m. matinee.

Celebrate the rich and diverse history of Campbell County in Naruna this weekend at the Campbell County Heritage Festival.  There will be live music, food, historical demos and activities for kids.  It's Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at William Campbell High School and Community Park.

KupKakery Bakery will be at BaconFest this Saturday satisfying your sweet tooth with their Sunday Morning Breakfast cupcakes!

Listen up bacon lovers! All day Saturday is Bacon Fest in downtown Roanoke.  There will be bacon-wrapped bacon, bacon hot sauces, bacon tacos and even bacon cupcakes.

The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m. at Elmwood Park. Thousands are expected to attends the event which is in its third year.

General admission is $5 and you can purchase taste ticket packages to try your choice of the many bacon-inspired food samples showcased by local restaurants and vendors.

In addition to the satisfying sizzle of bacon, there will be fun for the whole family with music, balloon animals, a bouncy house and more.
