RUSSELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - One person died and two others taken to the hospital after their Jeep Wrangler ran off the road early Thursday morning.
VSP said around 12:10 a.m., officers responded to the single-vehicle crash on Tower Road less than a mile south of Route 613. Police said a 2000 Jeep Wrangler ran off the road, went down an embankment and overturned onto its side.

The driver, Michelle L. Snider, 44, of Winston Salem, N.C., was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. Two other occupants were transported to a nearby hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
