ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WSLS 10) - A home in Maryland was recently searched by investigators in connection to the abduction and murder of the Lyon sisters.

The Major Crimes Division and their partners said on Tuesday the investigation led them to serve a search warrant at a home located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Police say items were seized from the home on the strength of that warrant - although it's not clear on what was taken.

Earlier, the Bedford County Sheriff's Office in Virginia charged Lloyd Welch with two counts of felony first-degree murder in connection to this case.

Lloyd Welch admitted to investigators to seeing his uncle, Richard Welch, sexually assault one of the girls.

"Lloyd Welch also states that he observed Richard Welch sexually assaulting one of the Lyon sisters at Richard Welch's residence shortly after the children's abduction," Sheriff Brown said.

It's unclear if or when more charges will come, but Bedford Commonwealth's Attorney Randy Krantz said the evidence points to Richard Welch's involvement.

Also, earlier this month authorities seized a cell phone, computer and letters from the Salem, Virginia home of Connie Akers, one of Welch's relatives.
