ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors voted in favor of setting aside money for new voting machines.
The new machinesĀ will cost the county nearly $400,000. The board was forced to act afterĀ the department of elections de-certified the county's WinVote machines back in April.

Meanwhile, Supervisor Jason Peters saidĀ closed session wasĀ underway Tuesday eveningĀ to discuss a new crash reporting center.
The police department said officers respond to 2,600Ā calls for traffic crashes each year, putting a heavy burden on the force. For that reason, Roanoke County police are proposing the center to cut down on road closures and congestion.
