WAYNESBORO (AP) - Virginia State Police say plane has crash landed during takeoff at an airport in Augusta County.
State police say the plane landed in a field just beyond the runway at Eagles Nest Airport in Waynesboro. The incident was reported at 10:56 a.m. Thursday.

One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to local hospital for treatment. State police didn't say whether the injured person was the pilot or a passenger, or what type of plane crashed landed.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
