The CommunityĀ Youth ProgramĀ isĀ an after school program for Roanoke City Schools and teaches students the importance of giving back to others.Ā They do this by getting involved with organizations like the Children'sĀ Miracle Network.

The program's Executive Director, Leeann Reich said, Ā "they really see this as their opportunity to shine and they take a lot of pride in the lemonade stand and raising as much money as they can - and it's teaching them a lot at the same time.Ā  It's teaching them why it's important to give back to others and to have empathy for other people."

The kids also give back every December by visiting other children in the hospital and decorating the hospital's waiting room.
