POCAHONTAS (WSLS 10) – The community of Pocahontas, Virginia was devastated by flood water this week, according to God’s Pit Crew.

Two tractor trailer loads containing approximately 80,000 pounds of relief supplies, including 500 Blessing Buckets, will leave the God’s Pit Crew warehouse in the morning to deliver aid to Pocahontas.

Pocahontas Mayor, Benjamin Gibson, said that any and all help would be greatly appreciated for the devastated people in this community.

Many homes, cars and businesses were washed away by the raging water. Many are without food, water and electricity.
