BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) – A Maryland woman was scheduled to go before a grand jury Tuesday for a perjury charge involving the disappearance of Sheila and Katherine Lyon.

According to the Commonwealth's Attorney, they plan to meet with Patrica Welch's defense lawyers behind closed doors to decide whether there's enough evidence to go before a jury trial.

The Commonwealth's Attorney said new indictments will be filed at some point Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

As we've reported, Welch falsely testified before a grand jury.

Last week, she waived her right to a preliminary hearing. Welch's husband, Richard Welch, and his nephew, Lloyd Welch, have been named as persons of interest in the case.

Patrica and Richard Welch previously owned land in Bedford County during the time the sisters disappeared.

Charges have not been filed against Richard or Lloyd.
