ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe will be in Roanoke Wednesday looking at the Gainsboro YMCA's Summer Feeding Program.

She is expected to visit with kids, as well as help with feeding lunch. The program is a partnership between the YMCA and the city's five public libraries.

It gives kids a chance to have at least one USDA approved meal when school is out and the free and reduced lunch program is not available.

"We may not know where their breakfast and dinner is coming from, but we can definitely guarantee we know where their lunch is coming from that day," said Bobbie Wolfe, YMCA Branch Operations Director.

Around 40,000 meals will be served to approximately 500 kids this summer.
