ROANOKE (WSLS10) - Thousands of people came to the Star City for the Jehovah Witness Convention. Organizers said the event is called "Imitate Jesus" .
People from Virginia and surrounding states came to the Berglund Center for this year's event. Convention workers said the three day event allows worshipers to connect.
"We enjoy being here in the city of Roanoke and we've had a nice experience with the facility here as well as with the hotels, the city has been an excellent place for us to get together," said Imre Pentek, an event organizer.
