ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS10) - People who support the Confederate flag held a rally at the 220 Walmart in Clearbrook. While many believe the flag should fly, others think it shouldn't.

"I love the Lord, I love the flag, I'm thankful for what we have it's history," Ann DeMauri a supporter of the flag said.
A driver who opposed it said the flag is a symbol of hate. Meanwhile, members who support the flag, said it doesn't represent racism.
"It's our heritage has always been about heritage will never be about race," Brittney Young a supporter said.
Brittney Young is one of 10 people who stood in front of the Clearbrook Walmart to boycott. This comes after Walmart decided to not sell any more Confederate flags after nine people were shot by accused 21-year-old Dylan Roof.
Supporters of the Confederate flag said Roof used the symbol inappropriately. They said the flag is actually a battle flag of General Robert E. Lee's army of Northern Virginia.
"We didn't do nothing, over one incident where the guy shot those 9 people we weren't involved, he was the racist one we're not," Daniel Young a supporter of the flag said.
The group said they'll have another rally in Roanoke County on July 25th.
